Butcher's Broom

Butcher's Broom was found to contain two steroidal-type compounds that caused blood vessels to narrow and helped reduce inflammation. Studies also showed that the herb could help alleviate the signs and symptoms of certain venous disorders in humans. This herb is used as supportive therapy for discomfort of chronic venous insufficiency, such as pain and heaviness, as well as cramps in the legs, itching and swelling. Butcher's Broom also is used as therapy for hemorrhoid complaints, such as itching and burning.
