Shark Cartilage
Shark cartilage is the dried and powdered form of the
shark skeleton. It contains a number of substances that are good for health.
The most important is a protein that acts as an angiogenesis inhibitor,
it suppresses the formation of blood vessels to a tumor, thereby depriving
the tumor of nourishment. Shark cartilage helps to suppress certain eye
disorders such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration that can
lead to blindness. It also contains calcium, phosphorus and mucopolysaccharides
that stimulate the immune system. It is helpful with arthritis, psoriasis
and regional enteritis (inflammation of the lining of the bowels). |
